I Like Animals…What Jobs Are There? book review

I love animals and when I grow up I want to work with them.

But its difficult to know what sort of job.

I Like Animals…What Jobs Are There? has loads of cool jobs you can do with animals, from a police dog handler to a zoo keeper.

Each page tells you about a typical day doing the job.

It also has the best and worst parts of a job, which I really liked reading.

This book really got me thinking about what I want to do when I grow up. It made me realise just how many different jobs there are with animals!

It’s very colourful and easy to read. A great book!

Parent Perspective

I had been looking for some time for a children’s book which explored the jobs one can do with animals. Most were either ‘careers advice’ type books for secondary school kids, or too generalised. Then I discovered this – which acts as a perfect introduction to the jobs out there – whether common ones such as zoo keepers and pets, to highly specialised careers such as film-makers and sanctuary managers. If you want something to capture your kids’ imagination and get them thinking about the jobs they may do when they’re older, then this is highly recommended.

I Like Animals…What Jobs Are There? is written by Steve Martin and wonderfully illustrated by Roberto Blefari. It is published by Ivy Kids and is priced at £12.99.
